Background

S.J. Booth Studio was established in the Napa Valley in 1972.

We specialize in focal-point carvings, where authentic hand carved wood has its highest visual impact.

Over the years, our studio has developed a signature style for working with wood in an artful way. With the completion of thousands of beautiful wood carvings, you can be confident in our ability to satisfy your project needs. We have produced many traditional carvings and exact reproductions, however, our emphasis is on contemporary, original works.

Personal History

Sandra Juniper Booth, B.A. in Fine Arts, CSU, San Jose, 1969. Sandra is a fine artist who has specialized in designing for wood carving for the past 30 years.

Steven Booth, B.S. in Horticulture, CSU, Chico, 1982. Steven received a lifetime teaching credential from the State of California in Fine and Applied Arts in 1989. He began wood carving in 1970 at the Alex Zeller Studio in San Juan Bautista, California. He has been an artist-carver in the Napa Valley since 1972.
